About Amalfi Papers:
Amalfi papers are handmade by Cartiera F. Amatruda in the ancient duchy of Amalfi, Italy, one of the oldest and most prestigious papermaking centers in Europe. The papermill from which this paper comes has produced fine stationery continuously since 1380 for the most illustrious European families. Watermarked with the city's coat of arms, religious, and heraldic symbols, the Amalfi papers were very valuable and in great demand. Today's Amalfi paper comes directly from that rich history. Each deckle-edged sheet is crafted with the utmost care, using many of the traditional methods first developed in the Middle Ages. The paper is made from the finest cotton rag and sized for the best possible writing quality.
